Most first conversations happen on the phone, immediately, when you call. From there we move to whatever works best for your file: video meetings, phone calls, or in-person at our Brampton office. There’s no preferred mode; there’s a preferred outcome.

No. Phone and video work for most matters, and most first consultations start with a phone call the moment you reach us. In-person meetings at our Brampton office are available when the file calls for it.

You may have grounds for a will challenge. Ontario recognizes undue influence as a ground for setting aside a will. Pressure amounts to undue influence when it overpowers your parent’s free will, so that the will reflects the family member’s wishes rather than your parent’s own. Deadlines and evidence preservation matter, so speak to a lawyer about what you know about the changes as soon as you can.

You have to notify your auto insurer within 7 days of the accident to protect your Accident Benefits, and submit the completed Accident Benefits application within 30 days of receiving it. Ontario’s statute of limitations for the tort claim against the at-fault driver is generally 2 years from the date of the accident. Get in touch as early as possible so no deadline passes before you have advice.

Yes. Estate planning consultations work well by phone or video, and many of our clients prefer them. If an in-person signing meeting is required later in the process, we’ll arrange that at our Brampton office; but the first consultation and much of the drafting work can be done virtually.

You have real remedies. Ontario law protects your reputation from lies published in writing (libel), and platforms like Google and social media count. We can send formal takedown demands, pursue the person responsible for the statement, and, where the damage is serious, bring a defamation claim for damages. Bring us the full content, URL, and any evidence of the impact; the sooner we act, the better the chance of stopping the spread.
